Varanger Golfklubb

Situated in Vestre Jakobselv, Varanger Golfklubb holds the distinction of being the world's northernmost 9-hole golf course. Due to the harsh arctic climate, the club utilizes high-quality artificial grass greens on all holes, ensuring consistent putting surfaces throughout the season. The layout is technically demanding, featuring water hazards or bunkers on every single fairway, with hole lengths varying between 120 and 443 meters. A dedicated short loop is available for beginners alongside the main course. The facility centers around a modern clubhouse, inaugurated in 2021, which features a sauna and event space. Visitors can experience the unique phenomenon of playing under the midnight sun, surrounded by the raw beauty of the Finnmark region.
