About 20 km from the Balaton golf course, on a long, relatively flat hill, there is a real 9-hole course with par 36. Elevated greens, beautiful tee boxes and wide fairways are located on the edge of a forest with a wide view over an open plain. The facility, which has no clubhouse and only a camping house, seems to have gone bankrupt immediately after completion; there wasn't even enough time for a website!
Only the greens were ok, grade 4+.
Uneven and dry fairways (mowed) covered with weeds and alien grasses.
The tee boxes are catastrophic! The flags are all torn to pieces.
Footgolf holes everywhere, of course. Golf & Hungary only works to a very, very limited extent!
Without a healthy middle class in the country, the clubs won't get any members, so there'll be footgolf and empty pitches...! Such a shame, the location, the layout and the design are all top notch!
But actually only 1 star!
