Characteristics
Situated just outside Galashiels in the Scottish Borders, Torwoodlee Golf Club presents a scenic parkland layout rich in history. The course features original holes designed by Willie Park Junior along the banks of the River Gala, while newer additions traverse the historic Waverley Railway Line into undulating terrain. Golfers are treated to spectacular vistas, particularly at the "Bowland View" hole. A notable feature is the challenging double green shared by the 8th and 13th, adding a unique tactical element to the round.

A varied course, with every hole different. It has uphill and downhill sections, sometimes with sloping fairways. The greens were very well-maintained. The fairways roll excellently, and the semi-final is playable. The best hole is a par 4, with a tee shot about 40 meters down, followed by a slight dogleg to the left.
