A very beautiful location in itself, slightly hilly, you can often see the Drei Gleichen castles in the background. The landscape is all there, a bit of water, a bit of forest, courses that are sometimes narrower and sometimes wider... everything is beautiful.
There are two things that are extremely annoying: 1) The routing of the courses means that you spend ages walking back and forth on gravel roads. I'm sure there could be a better order. 2) The clover. In July, everything was covered in clover and I didn't get the impression that anyone wanted to mow it down. Right up to the edge of the fairway. So it didn't matter whether you hit the ball 10 m into the rough or it just rolled a little from the fairway, in both cases the ball was gone. When that's the case on almost every course, it's really annoying...

Unfortunately, it is no longer allowed to spend the night in the parking lot with a motorhome. Unfortunately, some people probably overdid it a bit. I would be very happy if you would reconsider the decision and release a small area of the parking lot for mobile homes. The golf course offers a challenging, varied and exciting layout. It's always slightly uphill and downhill. There are pleasantly wide fairways - partly divided with individual trees, large bunkers, optically very nicely laid out, many doglegs, slopes, depressions, ponds, streams, views...
The "Three Equals" can be seen from many of the tracks, it is an ensemble of 3 castles on the surrounding mountains. These accompany the game. In particular, from the high-up tee of hole 9, you have a great view of the surrounding area and large parts of the golf course.
Before that, hole 5 is a par 5, which demands long shots, especially from men. With a total of 615m it is very, very, very long. Luckily the last part of the fairway, which drops steeply into a dip where the green is found, helps.
The large tee boxes/tees, as well as the greens on the course have carpet character and the latter ensure absolute directional stability and putting fun.
In the restaurant "Taubennest" you sit very nicely in the restored barn with a modern interior. The kitchen is also delicious and highly recommended.
We will be back definitely!
