Very demanding, BUT:
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 2, 2026
Old Course green fee €250. I was faced with the question: should I really do it, or should I just leave it? It's generally one of the toughest courses I've ever played. Even though I played from 56, there were several par 4s close to 400 meters. The par 3s were all over water, and the greens started at least 5 meters beyond the water. You really couldn't go too long, otherwise you'd either end up with a difficult bunker shot or your ball would be gone, as there was no room behind the greens and no proper place to lay up. Generally speaking, you absolutely had to stay on the fairway, as there was practically no second cut. Searching for your ball in the rough was pretty much pointless. The greens were as fast as in other Danish clubs, perhaps a little more undulating.
Now come the things that, in my opinion, are completely unacceptable at this price point. These include dandelions and daisies on the fairways. Dogs were allowed, but why did they have to relieve themselves on the 9th fairway? The fairway borders and the sides of the elevated tees were rather wild and uninspiring. I've seen far more beautiful courses. In conclusion: There are significantly more attractive courses in Europe in this price range.
I have very mixed feelings about the overall rating above.

Outstanding facility

I played both courses in June, most recently Old Course 2021.
Impressive clubhouse with friendly and helpful staff.
Both courses were in top condition under the given conditions. The driving range in order.
If you want to play a high-end course and €200 isn't too much for you, definitely play.
1 star deduction because of the value for money.

Great clubhouse, moderate golf course (New Course), but overpriced
2.0 of 5 starsReviewed September 20, 2019
We played the course on the 20th of September. The clubhouse is impressive, the surroundings very stylish (but drain plugged in showers), the restaurant nice.
The course (played the New Course) was nothing special from the layout, the Roughs and Semis unkempt, the water hazards bright green from algae, the greens slow and holey. The green areas between the tracks were overgrown and neglected.
For this a green fee of about 200 € per person is to be paid.
We have communicated our criticisms to the club, there was no response.
The club house and the casual rooms are exquisite design and the restaurant looked nice too.
The layout of golf course (we played the new course) was interesting but we played more challenging layouts on other courses in Denmark. The rough and semi-neglected and the water traps were full of green sea and red branches. The greens were slow and full of defects. The areas in the holes seemed neglected too.
We payed a green fee of € 200 per person and were hugely disappointed.
We communicated our disappointment to the golf desk but they did not seem to care.
