Set in the heart of the Essex countryside near Billericay, The Burstead Golf Club offers a classic parkland experience. Designed by Patrick Tallack and opened in 1993, the course is uniquely situated at the source of the River Crouch. The layout weaves through ancient woodland and adjoining rolling fields, using natural hedgerows and water hazards to create a strategic test. The maturity of the course belies its relatively young age, featuring generous, undulating greens that demand skill on the putting surface. Off the course, the atmosphere is distinctly welcoming. The clubhouse, complete with open fireside seating, provides a cozy retreat, while the Spike Bar serves refreshments throughout the day. Extensive practice facilities, including a floodlit driving range, round out the offering.
