Characteristics
The Blairgowrie Golf Club is one of the UK's most highly regarded golf clubs, famous for its rich history and Championship golf courses.
The Club features the renowned Rosemount and Lansdowne Championship courses plus our majestic 9-hole course which are all set in heather lined avenues of pine and silver birch.
Founded as a private members' club in 1889, it is situated in the heart of the magnificent Perthshire countryside. All of our courses consistently feature in Scotland's Top 100 Golf Courses, so it's no wonder golf at Blairgowrie Golf Club is enjoyed by so many from near and far.

Very beautiful, very well maintained – very boring
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 4, 2024
Played mid-June 2024, HCP 16
Let’s start with the positive:
Both 18-hole courses (“Rosemount” and “Lansdowne”) boast beautiful flora – beautiful forest lines the fairways and there are extensive fields of orchids to admire.
Unfortunately, the layout is a hindrance to a really nice round. It is quite simply boring. There are a few doglegs on “Rosemount” and “Lansdowne” is even more unimaginative. In general:
* Hit the ball forward as far as possible.
* Avoid beating in the woods.
* Avoid the bunkers, which guard the greens well and are well placed on the fairways to lurk for prey. If you do end up in the sand, it's not too bad - the bunkers (like the rest of the course) are very well maintained and the balls are usually easy to play from the obstacle.
Water hazards hardly come into play at all – if they exist at all, they are located to the side.
The greens are also well maintained, but lack challenges.
At a few tracks, the otherwise wonderful peace is disturbed by slight street noise.
A cart is not really needed, it is just moderately hilly and the distances between the courses are rather short.
Conclusion: A beautiful course, but rather boring in terms of playing technique. Of course, the very good condition of the course comes at a price - but the green fee is completely excessive for what is on offer, even if a small bag with a pitch fork, ball marker, tees and a reusable aluminum bottle of water (everything with the club logo) is included. Currently, the price per course is around EUR 140,- if you book BOTH courses as a package - if you only want to play one course, it will cost around EUR 170!
So unfortunately only 3 stars. (In the “Golf Bear Ranking”: 6 out of 10 points.)

Wonderful in the forest!
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed July 24, 2023
Very nice place with a magnificent historic clubhouse. Wide, soft fairways and the undergrowth not too dense, so that you almost always find the balls that have drifted off. The 9-hole Wee course is also very pretty. The two 18-hole courses are similarly surrounded by loose forest. A really nice parkland facility!
