Magnificent sea views

The views from this historic links course are phenomenal! Very green in June and the fairways partly with dense grass. Likewise the roughs next to it. Some fairways have steep slopes, but because of the high grass, the balls usually don't roll far down! Haha. Some holes with stunning views straight down to the sea. The holes above the railway line are very nice: long and horizontal! A gorge of approx. 150 m has to be crossed twice. Nothing for short hitters! The little clubhouse from the 19th century is very lovely! Overall a great experience

We chose the place based on the reviews given here and were not disappointed. Sensational views from the cliffs, slope of some fairways, one course goes even 90 ° over two other fairways. Dunnottar Castle is not far away, so you can make some sightseeing before or after the game. The hole sequence was changed some times, our Garmin clocks did not seem to know yet and long-term members also partially run the old hole sequence, which led to some confusion.
On the day we were going to play, just the greens were sent fresh, as a compensation we got a discount and only 27 pounds instead of 37 pounds paid for the round.
