Characteristics
Stavanger Golfklubb was founded in 1956 and is one of Norway's oldest club. The 18-hole course is situated only 5 km form the town center, and lies in quiet surronudings near the lake "Store Stokkavatn". The course, desogned by British architect Fred Smith has a par of 71. It is a tree lined, and relatively tight layout. Undulating greens and fairways add to the challenge, and many (over 20) championships have been held here, both national and international.

Stavanger Golf Club was founded in 1956. It is one of the oldest courses in Norway. The British disigner, Fred Smith made the course with a good varitation. It offers you a challange with trees water and slope. The greens are relatively small and fairways a little narrow. The course is par 71 and has the best layout national. It also is the fastest junior growing golf club. I really recommemd playing here!

The Stavanger GK is ranked among the 10 best golf courses in Norway for many years.
Rightly as I recently was able to experience itself.
I've played on many "famous" places around the world and the Stavanger GK is for me one of the best parkland courses at all.
Each track is different and varied. Add to that a nursing Excelent condition, as it is found only rarely.
On the fairways as they ran mostly on a carpet.
The tracks run through a slightly hilly terrain and some dense pine forest.
On several tracks you should leave the driver in the bag, but the fairways are sometimes very tight.
I personally have numerous "elevated tees" fallen, from which you can tee off at the same time has a great view of the square.
The signature hole on the course is certainly the 3rd hole A rd. 155 meters long par 3, is also the discount of a hill and you like to overcome a part of the lake to reach the green.
Surprisingly, the club has only about 2 buggies so that the space for people who can not do so well is less suitable.
Very good value for money. Easy accessibility from the city center (about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic) and extremely friendly staff.
This place should I ever come to Stavanger, then be played on any case once again.
