St Bees Golf Club

Situated on the rugged West Coast of Cumbria, St Bees Golf Club offers a unique golfing experience right on the shores of the Irish Sea. Although it is a 9-hole layout, alternative tees allow for a full 18-hole round that feels distinct and challenging. The course is defined by its exposure to the elements; prevailing winds, tight fairways, and small, well-guarded greens demand precision over power. The standout feature is undoubtedly the view, with panoramas stretching to the Isle of Man and St Bees Head. The 5th hole, a demanding par 4 running along the cliff edge, is often cited as one of the toughest in the county. A dramatic par-3 finishing hole with pot bunkers completes this scenic, wind-swept coastal test.
