Sonning Golf Club in Berkshire offers a historical golfing experience rooted in the work of legends J.H. Taylor and Harry Colt. Originally a heathland layout, the course has matured into a stunning woodland challenge with undulating fairways and an abundance of trees. The 18-hole course is renowned for its fast greens and the 17th hole, often cited as one of the best short holes in the South. A recent redesign of the 18th by Martin Hawtree brings the game right to the elegant clubhouse terrace, creating a memorable finish to the round.

Sonning Golf Club is open all day every day and everyone is welcome, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the Golf Course. We serve an uncomplicated Club Menu based on fresh local ingredients Monday – Saturday from 9.30am to 4:00pm with Chef Specials throughout the week. Absoulotely stunning. The greens are in top condition and the tees are lovely. Staff are very friendly. food is awseome. it is a must go.

I played here in September 2019 and was thrilled. Fairways and greens in top condition, nice reception and fair price. I started at 13.30 and played for unbeatable 29 British pounds. Windsor is only 30 minutes away by car, so great to plan on a trip.
