Skelmorlie Golf Club

Perched high above the village in North Ayrshire, Skelmorlie Golf Club offers a distinctive moorland challenge defined by its spectacular panorama. Golfers are treated to sweeping views over the Firth of Clyde towards the Isle of Arran and the rugged mountains of Argyll. Although the course bears the hallmark of legendary architect James Braid, it has evolved from a historic 13-hole layout into a full 18-hole test. It is not a course where power dominates; with a Par 65 and an unusual configuration featuring seven Par-3s, precision is paramount. The layout falls naturally into three loops, requiring careful club selection to navigate the gorse and wind. After the round, the friendly clubhouse awaits with refreshments and a balcony perfectly positioned to admire the sunset over the estuary.
