Shocking

As a old member of this club (Ian Coetzer) and and ex committee member and playing league for the club it is shocking to hear from my two sons that the course is in a shocking condition, And Dominic Coetzer got a hole in one on the 7th when he was 11. The Club still ask a rate of R 90 for scholars and students. It is advertised on the website that under 18's get a 70% discount however this is false advertising and not the case. The feedback i got is that you playing off sand and obviously nobody is looking after the course. The club advertise some percentages of for scholars and students but all 3 paid the same amount. Sorry guys it is heartbreaking but don't rip people of if your course is not worth the money to play on it. Get the course in a tip top condition as it was and then ask people the money. Hope that you guys will sort this out. Very sad to hear.

Very Friendly, brilliant views

Been six times in as many years, yes course isnt that great, but you can play the challenging, especially with the usual southerly winds 9 hole course with pleasure.
Very reasonable fees with friendly staff and good basic food.
Worth it for the views if nothing else

Field or golf course?

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK BLINDLY (we have now also learned).
I would have liked to upload pictures (unfortunately not possible). Calling the field a golf course is an impertinence.
Greens that cannot compete in quality with the worst winter greens in Germany, fairways that look like a field in Germany.
There are no signs indicating where each train should be.
The first round of golf that we ended early... it was an imposition and a complete waste of time.

The one star is for the monkey in the field and the view, the place should be banned!!!
If you can't believe it, you should go without booking in advance, you can start at your own discretion.

Dreamlike location

It is a pleasant, dry, relatively simple but fun to play small town course in front of a super beautiful scenery. Hardly bunker and only a mini water obstacle, worth for me 3-4 stars.
If you play 18 holes you have the same tea boxes twice. Very good price / performance ratio. Super friendly service.

Great view, but not more

Played on 02/25/2016. The 9-hole course, which on the Atlantic of Good Hope is located on the outskirts of Simon's Town towards Cape behind the famous penguin beach Boulders, presented itself to us in a poor and mainly very dried condition. Hole 1 (PAR 3) was more like a farm. Also the rest of the space was extremely dry. Only the greens were a little green and halfway playable. The layout is lugubrious. To cross the tracks two and three. And after hole 3 must be the complete path to the fairway edge back go to reach tee four. This discount is then raised and is one of the few highlights. Bunkers and water hazards are likely nil. For ball you can not lose as long as one remains within the system practical. With golf it all has to do relatively little. At least the price is right. From 16 hours you pay only 70 Rand for 9 holes, ie converted 5, - €. More is the place but also not worth, viewed from the fantastic views of False Bay and the Atlantic Ocean from all 9 holes. Even the employees in ProShop was extremely friendly to us and gave us even a description of how to print the webs best plays (for views and staff the 3 stars). When we visited on a Thursday afternoon we were incidentally the only player on the court. This has never happened to us during the high season at a golf course in South Africa. It was almost scary so alone, especially as this golf course is not secured with fences as one of the few in the region and runs right along a main road. So who has nothing better to do, or want to play after the visit to the penguins and a short round (PAR 33/6 x PAR 4 and 3x PAR 3) for small money Golf who can dare even once.
