Characteristics
Set within the legendary landscape of Clipstone Woods in Nottinghamshire, Sherwood Forest Golf Club offers one of Great Britain's finest heathland experiences. Initially designed by Harry Colt and enhanced by James Braid, the course features springy turf, heather-lined fairways, and majestic pines and silver birches. Consistently ranked among the top 100 in the UK, it has hosted prestigious events like the Brabazon Trophy. The free-draining sandy soil ensures excellent playability year-round, while the clubhouse provides a traditional setting to relax after the round.

Proper golf attire is required. Denim jeans, collarless t-shirts and tracksuits are not acceptable. Softspikes recommended.

Phantastic golf course in Sherwood Forest. Very challenging course design and different styles and views on the 18 holes. Play precise, or bring sufficient golf balls. Its a heathland style of course, with lot of grass and typical vegetation that makes it really challenging to locate balls that miss fairways. Bunkers as typical with Heathland courses are all different to play. A super course - really an experience to play.
