Excellent Course
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 4, 2016
Best of the six Polaris courses and one of the better courses in the region. Well designed and excellent fairways. Some of the greens are over difficult with silly run off areas (eighth in particular) but still great to play and a good test, especially in the wind. There is now an acceptable clubhouse and pro shop (that some said was missing in earlier reviews) so you can get a drink and snacks after your round. Now a popular course so can get busy. Not to be missed.
Just amazing

This course is a real jewel.
You could only play in a course like that in Las Vegas... but the wheather in Murcia is better..
Cannot wait to come back

Saurines de la Torre is beautiful course set on a golf resort, but unfortunately there are no amenities at the moment. A restaurant has recently opened walking distance from the first hole, but this is part of the resort, but at least enables visitors to obtain refreshments. There are no golf club facilities.

Almost like in Egypt
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed February 27, 2022
If you like desert places, this is the place for you. Feel like you're on Le Cascades in Soma Bay, only it's cooler here in January.
You either lie on the dry grass or in the sand, but bunkers are pleasingly rare. The very fast greens are challenging.
The many desolate, empty properties, on the other hand, are not pleasing to the eye. You can play here for a green fee of €75, but I wouldn’t have to have it more often or more expensively.

If you like desert courses this is perfect for you
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 12, 2021
There is no club house there are no changing rooms, but if you like golf in a Las Vegas pajute style course or similar this is an unmissable course, despite the precarious conditions of the reception and everything else that there is no course. in good condition, it deserves a green fee.

Desert, desert, desert
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed March 23, 2019
If you have found the way to Saurines (no signs, resort firmiert under Terrazzas de la Torre) you are frightened once the horrible edge buildings and the drab central area. In no other place is the Spanish real estate crisis so blatant to see here. From set shell construction activities, unsold apartment blocks to uninhabited blocks everything is visible. Who wants to stay here longer?
Arrived on the square, one is then very surprised. If you want to play a desert course on the Nicklaus Trail, then here! Waste areas that protrude laterally into the fairways but also in the middle of the fairway dominate, water rarely comes into play. Other features of the course are the undulating fairways, where you do not know where the ball is also after a straight hit, as well as many increased greens, from which the ball rolls down easily. All this requires a strategic game. If you have made friends with it, the place is really fun and a good score is quite possible.
Despite 9 weeks of drought, the course was well playable thanks to the Bermuda grass. Tees and greens were sufficiently watered. There were no other greenkeepers in any of the other places like here. Also a surprise.

Dream in the desert
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 23, 2018
One of the nicest places of the Niklas trails, less bunker very quiet and not much game operation, you can always play under 4 hours.
Sexy layout great layout, very well maintained and very pleasant to games, with reason you can achieve a great result.
We have an apartment in one of the resorts and this is our favorite spot

Nice place, I have to go back!
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed December 9, 2017
The course is compared to the other GNK places with a little less bunkers, but "desert" far and wide equipped. But you can play this "desert" pretty well as on the fairway, as long as you are not right in front of a bush. The greens are interesting, but doable. Since I was red too short (balls bounce in December forever far) I have played in the absence of blue ladies tees just from yellow with my two men. That was quite a challenge, but it was fun. The pub, which also houses the pro shop, looks pretty nice. However, we are not returning, because we were quite late. All around is not so much beautiful scenery, at one of the last holes seems to be somewhere a garbage dump. At any rate, the stench suggested that. But that did not cloud the beautiful experience and we will certainly come back!

Fairway or Waste Area
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed November 23, 2017
You do not have much more options here.
There is water, but it does not really come into play.
The green of the 18 should not be misleading, otherwise you have a putt with ascent and descent.
Nice reception, sliding trolleys.
The terrace is now farmed.
I would play the course again, the environment is unfortunately really ugly, who lives there voluntarily?

Great Place with challenging greens
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed February 12, 2017
Played in February 2017th
There were losses seen by the bad weather in December, particularly mottled greens, so only 4 stars.
The course is flat and easy to walk. There are many great waste areas, but fewer fairway bunkers. The greens are mostly difficult to play (many inverted saucers), undulating fast and strong.

Place TOP rest FLOP
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 26, 2016
First, it means to find the place. He called Saurines, but the urbanization Las Terrazas de la Torre. Bewildering. Arrived find a built in maybe 1km diameter circular settlement that looks like the worst rental housing. In this round the first 7 holes of the course are applied. visually atrocious. There are now a clubhouse as modeled Cowboy Bar from John Wayne movies. Legal dark furnishings, no external management. Would also be bad for the view...
The place was well laid out, well maintained, extremely undulating greens (undulating would trivializing, height difference quite up to 2 meters!) Everywhere peculiar round gouged waste areas, very happy middle fairway because where the Drive is supposed to go. One type punishing design because the ball like by simply rolling without really hurt. To punish this design gimmick above all operators because certainly very maintenance intensive. Right and left of the fairways can be found throughout Waste, looks like raked stone-free fine-gravel, you can say also coarse sand to be found so that outlying balls usually very good and it is also possible to play very well. The previous best greens this trip, fast and strong the Breaks assuming. Difficult! We would this Course repeatedly play but never want to live here.

We played in mid-November 5 places. This place has disappointed us, would actually be varied. Staff in the application and starters were very rude. Course partially neglected.

Beautiful "desert place"
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed October 10, 2015
We played the course in September 2015th He was very well maintained and really play demanding.
The place is beautifully laid out, water in the lakes, unfortunately, the environment is not very appealing. You play as a ghost town.
During our stay, the apartments were almost entirely uninhabited, tw. also for sale. Unfortunately, this is throughout the region so, but you do anyway when you move here.

Place we loved it
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed May 3, 2015
One of the best courses in the region. Visually a treat, but the place is difficult to play and requires a precise game. Superbly maintained fairways and greens have great rounded a magnificent flight. Unfortunately, like the environment with huge, vacant dwellings a ghost town.

Not always fair
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 11, 2015
I join my Vorbewertern gladly, for the fifth star to me but the fairness is missing. The partial incredibly strong moving, undulating fairways (which is sometimes not even recognizable from tea) are often punished good drives. Since, the "shaper" probably somewhat exaggerated during construction. Interesting are also the very undulating and fast greens.
A clubhouse is missing, changing and sanitary facilities do not go. -

Just my taste...
5.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 14, 2014
For about two years I have made up my Saurines to play again. On New Year's Day 2014er it worked. My expectations were fully met by the court. It is very impressive to play this course with desert character. The fairways were strongly undulating in perfect condition, so that one had to look many times the ball had come in fairway wells to rest. The greens were quite excellent and increased. Not infrequently, that too short or too long shots are wanted down again. The scorecards are incidentally also made very nice. Only criticism: Little water in the lakes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. But you should know in advance that there is no club house in the usual sense. But the place is worthwhile in any case.

October 12

A fantastic golf course with desert character.
Clear distinction between fairway and "Desert".
The reduction zones delineated precisely and perfectly.
Lush fairways and greens really good.
Sufficient distance to the neighboring fairways.
A must for any golfer, especially when he called the usual forest and meadow locations from Germany likes to play another course.
