The golfer’ Dream in ASIA. You can’t choose what was the most pleasant : staff, Caddies, golf design, course condition, greens... absolutely amazing!
I would say : Clearwater Bay (HONG KONG), Nirwana GOLF CLUB BALI, and Santiburi... at the top!

...expensive... payed 5600 tbat plus rental club fee 1500,- taxes come on top... played it new years eve and was on my own (!) , so it took me just 2 hours.. the caddie was nice but lacks on knowledge and english language...
To be honest, there are better courses in thailand - i cannot follow all those sensational reviews. its an up an down ride, some nice tough holes indeed, greens (which were more browns) are very hard to read. you should be able to hit it, if you wanna have some fun.
Can imagine stucked between beginners can be torture.

We played 18 holes here on three consecutive days!
The place itself is extremely well maintained in every respect, not to mention the fantastic view of the sea and the offshore islands. The caddies are real help and know their way around the greens.

So if you're expecting anyone to be happy about you wanting to play golf at Santiburi Samui Country Club, you're wrong.
Now the good news: the golf course itself is very beautiful. The individual holes are beautifully embedded in the terrain, the fairways are well maintained and the greens are perfectly mown. And if you don't play well, it's definitely not the fault of the caddies. Not only are they all very friendly, but they also do a really great job - be it choosing clubs or reading the putting line. The place is beautiful and presented in a surprisingly good condition. The dried up driving range course says nothing about the green 18-hole course: the greens were faster and more stable than it initially appeared. We quickly played the 9 holes in 1.5 hours - thanks to carts and the friendly and helpful caddies - and we could have done 18 holes by sunset. The place belongs to Singha Brewery. The club management there seems unusually stiff to the point of bureaucratic for Thailand; however, this should not be a problem. In any case, it's a lot of fun to play this course and, among other things, there's Singha beer on the club terrace (with a view of flowers, mountains and the sea), well chilled and plentiful.
