I would give them 6 stars, If this would possible!

The golfer’ Dream in ASIA. You can’t choose what was the most pleasant : staff, Caddies, golf design, course condition, greens... absolutely amazing!
I would say : Clearwater Bay (HONG KONG), Nirwana GOLF CLUB BALI, and Santiburi... at the top!

A good course but...

...expensive... payed 5600 tbat plus rental club fee 1500,- taxes come on top... played it new years eve and was on my own (!) , so it took me just 2 hours.. the caddie was nice but lacks on knowledge and english language...
To be honest, there are better courses in thailand - i cannot follow all those sensational reviews. its an up an down ride, some nice tough holes indeed, greens (which were more browns) are very hard to read. you should be able to hit it, if you wanna have some fun.
Can imagine stucked between beginners can be torture.

If it weren't for the office...

We played 18 holes here on three consecutive days!
The place itself is extremely well maintained in every respect, not to mention the fantastic view of the sea and the offshore islands. The caddies are real help and know their way around the greens.
The cloakrooms are very well maintained and clean!
So far, a clear 5 stars!!!
The star deduction is only available to the staff at registration who shine through “ignorance and ignorance”. The “Proshop” is an imposition and doesn’t even offer caps. It's a shame, the place, the greenkeepers and the caddies deserve something different!

The Santiburi Samui Country Club is an absolute disaster

First the bad news: The Santiburi Samui Country Club is an absolute disaster. When checking in you encounter a handful of unfriendly, disorganized and completely incompetent employees. Including the receptionist and the deputy club manager. The simple process of checking in is one big hurdle with paperwork like naturalization. The rental clubs are fucked up and date back to the last millennium, and the tasting shop is not one of those by any stretch of the imagination. So if you're expecting anyone to be happy about you wanting to play golf at Santiburi Samui Country Club, you're wrong.

Now the good news: the golf course itself is very beautiful. The individual holes are beautifully embedded in the terrain, the fairways are well maintained and the greens are perfectly mown. And if you don't play well, it's definitely not the fault of the caddies. Not only are they all very friendly, but they also do a really great job - be it choosing clubs or reading the putting line. Tip them generously; they earn it!

Particularly attractive at the Twilight tariff

At the end of April 2023 we played the first 9 holes here at the cheap Twilight rate, "on time", i.e. starting at 3:30 p.m. at the earliest (1675 baht for 9 holes, with e-cart and caddy fee; plus a TIP for the good caddies and 300 (-300) baht per set of clubs for women and men respectively).
The place is beautiful and presented in a surprisingly good condition. The dried up driving range course says nothing about the green 18-hole course: the greens were faster and more stable than it initially appeared. We quickly played the 9 holes in 1.5 hours - thanks to carts and the friendly and helpful caddies - and we could have done 18 holes by sunset. The place belongs to Singha Brewery. The club management there seems unusually stiff to the point of bureaucratic for Thailand; however, this should not be a problem. In any case, it's a lot of fun to play this course and, among other things, there's Singha beer on the club terrace (with a view of flowers, mountains and the sea), well chilled and plentiful.

Price fair now

Gorgeous but difficult place in top condition! The prices are currently 3500 plus 400 THB tip for the caddies. Ladies only pay 2800 THB. In my opinion, a fair price for a round, including cart and caddy. It's worth having a caddy here, even if we're not used to it.
We always played between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. and were almost always alone.

Golf course to enjoy

Today with t-time 11 h I was traveling alone. It's nice that there are caddies that speak English properly. Everything worked out and the surroundings are enchanting. This place is worth money. See you next time

Nice and very expensive

Very nice place, well maintained (belongs to the Singha brewery). Good rental clubs, cart, caddy, as usual in Thailand. Everything so fine. I only give 3 stars because of the cost. For 2 people including clubs, carts and caddies you have to expect about € 450. That's strong!
On our round we were allowed to see 4 snakes of pretty dense. Otherwise also beautiful landscape. Hilly, of course.

Nice golf course with smears

We played at the beginning of February 2019.
We think the green fee but overpriced. There are no signs per train. One depends on the information of the caddies. The place was in no perfect condition but playable. Some views were beautiful. Staff and caddies very friendly. Cost per golfer 5,800, - bath for green fee, caddy, car and transfer hotel golf course and back plus 400 bath tipping for caddy are in our opinion a bit too much.

Hard-beautiful - far too expensive for this place "and" this country!!!

I have played this place in July, place at some places very dry but still ok, staff very friendly and caddy lady also nice and hard-working, but you would have the place but at least once played, so you know the tracks, because some are very unreasonable, and thus almost not playable, especially in the second nine.
the view of some holes is really nice, if you have the time to enjoy, clubhouse all very nice and try to be exclusive, what you can make with the amount of staff the impression, but... the green fee is absolutely overpriced

We liked it

We played here twice last week. The second time, on the advice of our hotel manager on a Wednesday (definitely reserve start time). On Wednesday you get 50% off the green fee. Not on caddies and borrowed equipment. With a longer golf vacation, it can be quite money here. 1 Fee + Caddy + Car + Clubs about EUR 200, -.
The place is great. Nice and challenging, but some greens are in a really pathetic condition. The caddy ladies are not comparable with real professional caddies. It's more of a carer on the lap. They provide you with drinking water (very important here), looking for (usually successful) the balls, cleaning rackets and balls and are all around nice and friendly.
We enjoyed it a lot and it was fun to play here.

Conditionally recommended

We played the course in January 2017.
Basically a very challenging course, which goes along with sometimes very narrow fairways.
I would only recommend this place to people with a minimum handicap of 20. Everything about it, one is hopefully overwhelmed.
The fairways were in good condition, the greens partly catastrophic.

Unfortunately, it is mandatory to take a caddy on this course. What might help you with the ball search, but that's all.
You can confidently trust yourself to read a put line.
You also pay for the caddies and the buggy with your green fee. Woe, but the Caddy does not get the tip at the end. Then the mood tilts quickly and you feel quickly cornered.
The English language assets are unfortunately very much left to be desired.

We played the course on a Wednesday. The price was on this day 85 € / person. Which is absolutely fine.
But! We then wanted to play this place again on Friday and then we wanted to suddenly 190 € / person.
This price is absolutely out of proportion for what you get offered.
Granted the view is sometimes really beautiful, but please not for this absolutely overpriced price.

I can recommend this place if you want to play it on Wednesday.
Maybe better call ahead and inquire about the current prices.

Driving range: deductions only from mats.
Clubhouse: OK for a Coke, that's all.

High price but good

You get something for your money.
We had good caddies, and a lot of luck with the weather.
The Driving Range arrived durchzuzählen the bat - and more gibts hardly time.
At first it was something was clocked very tight but then relaxed.
Great place in good condition. Something very impersonal Glubhaus plus restaurant.

8 rounds in February 2015

I just played 8 rounds in the square in February this year. The place is well maintained, the grounds beautiful. In particular, the two par 3s on the front nine very like. Disappointingly, the Secretariat and the Ranger: so flights are allowed with 5 players. As space is very tight, of course, arise because large delays. Better players will not be allowed to pass. The quality of the caddies is very different. Some barely speak English, others can be left in the bag Rangefinder with a clear conscience. If you want to book a good caddy for the next round again, this costs THB 300 Extra, which is obviously not customer friendly. The restaurant is below average. In summary, a top space Fascinating country in the jungle, the management is in need of improvement.

Super place in a tropical setting

The still unsuspecting green fee players the Bag Upon arrival is taken and it disappears into the lower catacombs. After the first one is orientation toward pro-shop / bar led, paying, changing clothes go in a giant for German Normal conditions Umkleidekleideraum and going. The Caddy women wait impatiently with the equipment, time is money here. Each player / in receives a female companion and a card, because, in a 4-Flight then on the greens quite operation. Short embark on a "Driving Range" with Matt 6 tees and it is not seen to tee 1, putting green. From here the golfing experience begins. A very well maintained place in a tropical setting. The greens look faster than they are. The Caddy Ladies Playing golf but know and you should plan to hear how the ball comes on the green into the hole. They say in English what you have to do as assistants... But for a small talk in the same language --- --- impossible... The place is described in the first times not easy to play like already from other colleagues. Sometimes close, not einzusehende fairways, a lot of slopes, streams across the fairways, the left and right walls of rock or jungle, heavily undulating greens. A really abwechelungsreicher place. The green fee is on normal days already fierce, but there is also once a week a day with 50% discount. This benefit or reach into the wallet. The clubhouse has a killer view of a part of the island and normal prices. The little snack was ok.

Santiburi Golf Resort played on 15/1/15 at 08:00 clock morning

After three days of rain the place was still well playable. The service at the beginning of the round was well organized. The set of clubs could choose my image. The place is without female caddy and cart to do the walking difficult, as it continues uphill and downhill. The fairways are narrow and sometimes therefore, reckon a few balls. The greens were good and fast. By and large, the place its price (total, € 100 / 4000BHT) is worth it. Personally, I liked the place.

Have fun game to Koh Samui

Sensational place

I played this course in February this year and old loved it - one of the most beautiful places I know. Great layout, fantastic fairways and fast greens.

Great scenery - great caddy

Super manicured fairways, good greens and the caddies are a great help, the system is fair, with 2-3 lanes may miss a ball is lost, the sea view is spectacular, even from the club terrace. This system is really a dream and only recommend it!

Ingenious space

The place is endless. Tropical atmosphere with palm trees and completely integrated into the mountains. Partial ordendliche height differences are overcome - well the a cart (Caddy drives) is mandatory. Course design is really "Asian Tour", challenging but fair, and almost every track a new challenge. The sea views are magnificent on many tracks. My female. Caddy was knowledgeable and especially when reading the greens a great help. The information "jungle" when ball is out read me smile.

Great Place

The Santiburi golf course is one of the most beautiful golf courses and spektakulästen at all. Every moment is a pleasure, even if a "Bye Bye Ball" female caddies at a bad shot from time to time confused :-)
