The golfer’ Dream in ASIA. You can’t choose what was the most pleasant : staff, Caddies, golf design, course condition, greens... absolutely amazing!
I would say : Clearwater Bay (HONG KONG), Nirwana GOLF CLUB BALI, and Santiburi... at the top!
A good course but...

...expensive... payed 5600 tbat plus rental club fee 1500,- taxes come on top... played it new years eve and was on my own (!) , so it took me just 2 hours.. the caddie was nice but lacks on knowledge and english language...
To be honest, there are better courses in thailand - i cannot follow all those sensational reviews. its an up an down ride, some nice tough holes indeed, greens (which were more browns) are very hard to read. you should be able to hit it, if you wanna have some fun.
Can imagine stucked between beginners can be torture.

Santuri Golf Club Ko Santiburi Samui Country Club
If there was a Nobel Prize for a golf course designer, this would be a serious favorite. This golf course ranks among my favorites, Royal County Down, Asiago and Faldo Algarve. Wonderfully built into the mountain landscape, an incredible job for the implementers. It It is simply an unbelievably beautiful feeling to be able to experience this spectacle once. Nothing works here without a caddy. The caddy ladies also drive the golf cart, because it is extremely steep uphill and downhill. But that also means four E -Carts and four caddies. Looks a bit crowded. The welcome from Tim was very friendly. The rental clubs are available in all qualities and price ranges. From 3:30 p.m. 9-hole incl. cart and caddie with tip plus range balls for 9 Hole together € 60 - that's totally okay.
I was a single player, was sent to hole 3 by the starter and had no one in front of me or behind me. Perfect. The holes are challenging, the fairways narrow. White side markings are superfluous - because it leads straight into the impenetrable jungle. That was a golf -Day to my liking.
