Constructed in 1961, the famous Old Nine course meanders through the Sandy Lane estate. At 3345 yards, par 36, the Old Nine with its tree-lined fairways, is intimate yet demanding. With small greens and tight fairways, the course provides a real challenge to the golfing visitor.

Very scenic and well maintained is the old nine golf course in Paynes Bay directly across the street from Sandy Lane Beach.
All in all a wonderful ambience - at hole 3, you can watch the green monkeys who live there in the trees.
The course was ideal for me as a rookie, because not too difficult to play.
The staff members of the golf course are very friendly and efficient - you can feel here the proverbial English politeness.
Guests are always welcome!
The green fee (for. Z. approx € 68) did not surprise me, given the general prices in Barbados.
Incidentally, the marshals are indeed surprised when you want to carry his bag, but I felt weird not there before!
Since there / New Year 2010/11 was now very hot for Christmas, I was glad that the "old nine" had already opened at 7:00 clock in the morning.
