...a great, very large and spacious resort that offers everything, including four great golf courses - two of which are among the best in Florida - what an offer. The other two don't have to hide. That's not all, Destin - right next door - two more included in the Top 100 List - Kelly Plantation and Regatta Bay. As if that weren't enough, about 20 miles east in Panama City there are two top 100 courses (Camp Creek and Shark's Tooth) that rank even higher - that you can play as a resort guest.

It's worth driving the route to North West Florida just for that.

With the Sandestin Premium Golf Package you have the opportunity to play all four courses, the Burnt Pine is a pure members club. You have to make an effort to find accommodation and tee times in good time, it is very busy. It is possible to book everything several months in advance.

These two courses were recently overrun, so the playing conditions weren't ideal, they couldn't mow yet, which annoyed us extremely on the greens, none of the putts were regular...

Due to the maintenance, we only gave the two courses 3 stars, they deserve a solid 4 stars.

Sometimes there is a lot of movement in the terrain on the courses - the fairways - you don't always feel in flat Florida, just like on the greens. The Raven has the most flat fairways.

Usually the tall pines accompany the holes, or you are open on the bay. You hardly ever really take in the houses. Individual areas of the courses are to play with a significant background noise - most are very quiet - the US 98 is right next door. The Air Force jets, which take off from the nearby Air Force Base Eglin, can sometimes be a nuisance - sometimes the ladies covered their ears...

It was really an experience to be here, enjoyed it a lot, not just the golf game..
