Unlike typical coastal layouts, the course weaves intricately through towering sand dunes rather than following a simple 'out and back' routing. Known for its punishing rough and large, fast greens, it provides a stern championship test. Well worth the trip there!

It was without a doubt one of the nicest golf courses on our Wales tour. Very varied, easy to play for beginners and professionals alike.
We were very impressed by the flora and fauna. Although it was already August, many things were in bloom and smelled wonderfully.
The only restriction: The fairways were not in good condition due to the previous heat wave, very hard and with many bald spots (and no, I do not think that this is a links course with the exception of a few holes).
And: The view of the castle is a great photo opportunity as a reminder of golfing in Wales.

Beautiful place, early in the year in acceptable condition. However m. E. essentially not a proper links course. Lanes 1-13 are rather flat NEXT to the dunes. Beautiful links character (with then much increased difficulty) actually only have the lanes 14-18. beautiful views of the Harlech Castel, no view of the sea (because not in the dunes, but in front of it). Unfortunately also view, especially in the beautiful last tracks, on two large construction ruins. We were disturbed by the lack of next tea signs. Clubhouse has the charm of the 50s.
