Characteristics
With a history stretching back to 1608, Royal Blackheath Golf Club is widely recognized as one of the oldest in the world. Located just outside London, the club is anchored by the magnificent Eltham Lodge, a Grade I listed 17th-century clubhouse that exudes grandeur. The 18-hole parkland course, originally laid out by Tom Dunn and shaped by James Braid, was modernized by Ken Moodie in 2014. It offers a strategic Par 71 challenge with mature trees and well-positioned bunkers, blending deep tradition with a welcoming atmosphere and fine dining.
