High above Kenmare Bay, the Ring of Kerry Golf Club offers a unique blend of heathland and parkland golf. Designed by the legendary Eddie Hackett and refined by Ron Kirby, the course clings to the natural contours of the undulating landscape. Players face a strategic test with sand-based fairways and indigenous vegetation, accompanied by breathtaking vistas of the Caha Mountains and the Atlantic. The experience concludes at the clubhouse, home to the Nua Vista restaurant and panoramic terrace views.

Best greens I played in ireland

Played this course two years ago & it was good then but they have made some beautiful changes to make a good course even better.
The greeting in the pro shop was friendly & warm with good laughter the way it should be at all clubs but unfortunately this does not happen.
The course is in amazing condition with the best greens of any course I have played during my trip to Ireland.
It looks like the Ring of Kerry is starting to transform itself to another lever so exciting times lay ahead.
All in all a great golfing challenge coupled with unrivalled views & a superb restaurant for a meal afterwards.

Our visit to the Ring of Kerry Golf Club was very positive overall. The friendly welcome and helpful support before our round were particularly noteworthy. The staff member provided useful information about the course and, due to the hilly terrain, recommended using a golf cart, which was offered to us today at half price.
The regular green fee of 180 euros is high, but seems reasonable given the quality of the course and the overall experience, especially since several comparable courses, such as Fota Island, Cork, Killarney, Mount Juliet, … are priced at a similar level.
The course offers varied holes that often require strategic play. The greens were in very good condition, sufficiently fast, and ran reliably true.
The golf course's setting in the landscape is particularly appealing. The sometimes challenging, hilly terrain offers impressive views of the lake and the surrounding nature in many places.
Overall, it is a very well-maintained and interestingly designed golf course that impresses both in terms of scenery and playing style.
