Situated on the rugged edge of Sandside Bay, Reay Golf Club holds the distinction of being the most northerly 18-hole links course on the British mainland. This James Braid design offers a raw and authentic Scottish golf experience, where the wind off the Pentland Firth dictates the strategy. A rare quirk of the layout is that it begins and ends with a par-3, demanding immediate precision. The course features wiry turf perfect for bump-and-run shots, particularly on the 4th hole, "Sahara," and the scenic 7th, "Pilkington," which plays across a burn. The modern clubhouse offers panoramic views of the dunes and the North Atlantic, rounding off a memorable journey to the far north.
