Characteristics
Designed by the legendary José María Olazábal, this 18-hole course sits just minutes from San Sebastián within a natural amphitheatre facing the Peñas de Aya mountains. The 6,499-metre layout is known for its technical variety: the front nine features undulating fairways and complex greens, contrasting with the longer, more open back nine. Two strategic lakes add to the challenge. The clubhouse, housed in the traditional Goyaz farmhouse, includes a panoramic restaurant, swimming pools, and racket sports facilities.

Well drained despite a lot of rain, which is a must for golf courses in the Basque Country ;-) Long, often frighteningly narrow, undulating fairways. Not for beginners. Very fast greens. Varied layout. Tough to walk on. In top condition. The food is also highly recommended. Menu 20 euros with wine!
