Characteristics

Even today you still feel a slight British air that dates back to the Britsh founders of this club in 1932. Old well-formed trees, which can be found on the whole course, characterise besides wavy fairways and several canyons the ppicture of this course. While enjoying the magnificent view on the Teide, you easily start dreaming. However at hole 4 at the latest- most likely the most difficult one here- you're brought back to reality.

Please reply if you can.

I've played this course on many occasions and never felt comfortable asking where the bar was! Lovely course but sadly lacking hospitality talents. Great finish to the course.

3 stars with a lot of good will!

Phew, until you get a tee time :-(!
The place is full of older members. The design and appearance of the course and club is time-honored and very traditional!
The place needs to be maintained much better. Lots of long grass at the edge of the game. A redesign would give the old place a completely new shine; you can already feel the old flair on 4-5 holes.
The caddy master ensured that we were even allowed to play before our 8.30am tee time. The members line up in the morning!
However, if you say hello in a friendly manner and are a little careful, everyone, employees, members and local employees, are very, very nice!
After the round, 2 Capo, 1 beer and three huge pieces of lemon cake for €8.50! For this you get a plug connector from us :-)))!
Nevertheless, the course was the weakest on the island, even behind Amarilla! But if you love flair and old clubs, you should treat yourself to the quick motorway drive to the north, we didn't regret playing Real Tenerife too!

Pretty bad

The drama begins at the beginning. The tee time of 9:30 a.m. promised by phone and then confirmed by the club manager himself when paying collides with the tee time of 9:30 a.m. received from three old members on the Internet. Great lamentation. We were already ready at the tea box, so they boldly drive up. After a first hated (German) then reasonable agreement (Swiss) they let us play mercifully. Before that there was already a 3-way flight with old Spanish gentlemen who absolutely didn't want to let us (fast-playing golfers) through. They then block us the whole round with ghastly golf.
In the halfway house, the 2 flights sit in front of us, parleying. My partner politely asks if we could possibly play through. If it's out of the question, we're told snippy. Both the men's and women's flies then play in the ditch. Everything too short.
The forced break throws us even more out of rhythm.
And the buggies always leave them in front of the green and have to run back like that. Unfortunately, many players still don't understand this. The car belongs behind the flag! Too bad. And at every hole we have to wait. My partner lies down on the grass to sunbathe.
The course offers quite interesting golf. Only frustrate some blind deep ditch. Tee 17 and 18 from elevated pulpits: fun.
And: the restaurant is excellent and cheap! Excellent! Therefore not only 1 star.

All in all: A typical Member's Club (the only one in Tenerife) with unrepentant retirees. I've played 256 different courses so far: this one had the worst players of all. Better to avoid and avoid it.
