Inaugurated in 1988 by H.R.H. Don Juan de Borbón, this prestigious club is situated in the Dehesa de Campoamor, south of Orihuela. Course has got whole lot worse over last 3 years

79£ for a course with he worst greens ever. If you don't want to putt play this course as greens unplayable. Nothing mentioned when you book and others asked for a discount/refund to no avail. Course is not worth 40 euro a round. Range balls not been washed in years. Holes not recut in months putting green really bad no holes cut or marker flags. Management need a total kick up the backside. Really disappointed

The place was in very good condition. The greens are very well maintained. Greenkeepers who worked on the facility were extremely friendly and considerate. Noisy activities were stopped immediately if one came close.
I can neither confirm that ONLY there is still money to be made, nor that there were thieves on the pitch.
On the contrary: the Campoamor offers good value for money. Unfortunately the place is a bit far from our holiday destination, otherwise we would visit this place again at any time.

I have also known the place for a good 20 years and it has certainly had better times.
It is also important to know that thieves lurk in the bushes on the golf course. Today a person crawled on the floor and sneaked up on our electric car while my wife and I were putting on the putting green. It was only at the end of the lap that we discovered that my wife's belt bag, which was lying under a jacket in the electric car, had been stolen. So be more than careful with important private bags.
