Characteristics

The course may be described as parkland but this would not be sufficient. The defining features of this 18 Hole golf course are the 2 ring forts, the motte and the numerous natural springs that enable 12 of the holes to have water features.

Under the direction of Mel Flanagan (Irish Golf Design) this course has been moulded by Mick and Austin Lyons with emphasis on retaining the inherent charm of the surrounding area. All greens have been shaped by Ollie Sutton who has worked on some of the finest courses in Ireland.

Voted the No. 83-ranked golf course in Ireland, by “Golf Digest Ireland” in 2008.

Great course

Fantastic course. Great test. Wonderful variety of holes. Tricky greens that were in great condition. Only downside - the bunkers for lack of sand!

Just can't get enough.

Just can't get enough of this course, it is the best course in Co Meath, just go and play it, a must play for any golfer.

An outstanding surprise

This is a well hidden "Gem of Ireland"

I was expecting a flat genial course with no surprises - but it turned out to be an immaculate, tough course not for the faint hearted.

The 3rd hole looks easy on paper - but the first shot is over a lake and the second shot has a lake on one side and a gorse hill on the other with the narrowest fairway I have ever seen - at the end to greet you is the toughest green you have ever seen.

Great course - but take lots of balls - you will need them in both senses
