Characteristics
Established in 1889, Ranfurly Castle Golf Club holds the distinction of being the oldest golf club in Renfrewshire. Located in Bridge of Weir, just west of Glasgow, it offers an authentic Scottish moorland experience known for its exceptional natural drainage and year-round playability. The current course, finalised in 1930, showcases the strategic genius of Harry S. Colt, who constructed the layout based on James F. Robson's design. Players navigate undulating terrain with expansive views over the Clyde Valley. Off the course, the experience is anchored by a historic Arts and Crafts clubhouse designed by John Archibald Campbell, blending period elegance with modern facilities, including a state-of-the-art swing studio.

A warm & friendly welcome from all staff and a beautifully presented course with immaciulate greens... Be warned theyre fast and true!
A course that will be fully appreicated through repeated visits played due to the large number of blind shots especially on front 9.
Looking forward to a repeat play... It wont beat me next time!!
