Characteristics
An 18-hole championship course that could only have been designed by Bernhard Langer. Gently sloped, challenging, and suitable for all handicaps, the holes are nestling in the terrain of more than 240 acres. The landscape of the course is equally charming. Also located on the club's premises are a driving range, a 6-hole course for children (Chervo Junior golf course), and a small shop.

Inflexible concept

The positive aspects first: The layout of the course offers a lot of variety and playfulness, and it was in a well-maintained condition during our visit.
Since a 75% chance of rain and thunderstorms (with the potential for severe weather) was forecast for our round, we asked at the pro shop if we could pay for and play nine holes first. If the weather turned out to be better than predicted, we planned to spontaneously play 18 holes and, of course, pay the remaining balance at the pro shop afterward. This option is available at various golf courses in different countries. Although the first storm clouds were already gathering on the horizon, we were told that there was no nine-hole green fee at this course. Somewhat taken aback, my husband and I then paid €98 each (the price after the partner hotel discount)! As feared, the expected storm hit at the 11th hole. We managed to take shelter in a hut and, after the storm had passed, battled our way through the rain to our car.
This experience left a bitter aftertaste, and we all agree we will definitely not be playing here again.

When I registered at the office, the man behind the counter said that the course was in very good condition, so I would have to pay the full green fee without any discount. But when I got to the course, it turned out that the tees were covered in sand, which scratched my new driver. The fairways had been cut for a long time and were in a terrible condition. The same goes for the semi-roughs.
Only the greens were reasonably OK.
