Greatly disappointed

We are a group of friends that come to the Cape Coral area to play golf for one week a year for at least the last 10 years. We played just last week, and will not be returning to Pelican Preserve. I have never been so disappointed in a course, ever. The embarrassment of having my golf slack scrutinized by all in the pro shop, my golf partners shorts didn't measure up, we had purchased new shorts shirts and four rounds of golf. We went looking for the starter, he was not where we expected him to be, when he did show up his manner was quite gruff. This all made for a bad start, then we discovered that the fairways where dug up by wild pigs, resulting in lost balls and ruined drives. The foursomes, twosomes and single players created extremely slow play. We left after 14. With a course in this condition, the negative management, this course should be a discount.
Hope they change for others sakes. Bob

Very well maintained and beautiful place - demanding but fair

Erget and played Heron for $ 110. Price performance is great. Very nice place, very well maintained and wonderful. Good to play for all levels - on and around the greens rather sophisticated design - very fast and challenging undulating green. I'm excited - this place must have played. The staff is very courteous and friendly - you always feel welcome. I see absolutely not the vorgängignschlechten review.

Not worth price

We played this course in February 2015 $ 260 for two people including map. Ibis and egret.
I have listed on my card: place is not worth the price. For this price, there are much better places in the area.

Place with two faces...

The name "Pelican Preserve" is in Fort Myers for a very good place. Is actually: Well-kept golf course, professional friendly welcome, clean e-carts, range balls and water / ice on the round inclusive, neat haircuts and fairways, fast, directional stability, undulating greens and an interesting place design with 3x 9 hole (Heron, Egret, Ibis). But this is the problem, while Heron and Egret "ingrown" nine holes are Ibis nine holes without any atmosphere. The tracks run through a construction area where large earth movements take place. The wide fairways are "free" without trees, so that one can imagine being lost something. A strategy game you can forget here safely; Just the balls just "bashing". Maybe this seems to be like in 5-10 years different. Until then, we can only hope that Ibis is not one of the holes selected from the starter, which you have to play. We booked through golf / Now for $ 55 per person.

Top-ranked

Have in April 2014 Egret and Haron allowed to play, along with two Americans - the back 9 then even in match play for a few $ $. Was a fun round. The place is well tended, at 7 clock the dew was still on the fairways, but the greens were deducted. Plenty of water, but mostly also wide fairways. Fair layout. For $ 90 on GolfNow a real recommendation.

Very nice place - recommended...

We played the course in February and booked on GolfNow (75 USD). The course has 9 holes 3x (Heron, Egret, Ibis). It was played by us Heron and Ibis. The allocation is made by the starter, then the one in person 1 Tee leads. The course and the environment make a neat top end pressure. At Ibis is still missing the villa development; these nine holes are probably still relatively new. The fairways are relatively wide, water comes to one or the other hole into play. The greens are well modeled, fast and linientreu. The place can be a challenge under different tees for all skill levels because of the choice. The reception was friendly and courteous. Overall I recommend it.

Top Golf Course

This place must / may you have played. We, two ladies (Handicap 7.7 & 33.5) had the pleasure end of May 2012. Very nice reception in this semi-private club. We could for $ 65 including Cart (booked through www. Teetimesusa. Com) as guests on the square. Driving range with free golf balls. The course consists of 3 x 9 holes. It is a very challenging and interesting place. Of gold for ladies a challenge with regard to the length of the holes. Many bunkers and water hazards make a solid and accurate play is required. Lush fairways and beautiful greens. Unfortunately, these were sanded shortly before so they were a little slower. Only criticism: the members are somewhat hochnässig want to be happy with yourself. When we wanted a drink in the upper floor, we were referred determined that this is the only access for members. On the lower floor it was dark and not very inviting.
