Established in 1947, Östersund-Frösö Golfklubb is one of Sweden's historic golfing venues, situated on the scenic island of Frösön. The 18-hole course presents a strategic mix of parkland and woodland layouts, carved into a southern slope that ensures breathtaking vistas of Lake Storsjön and the Jämtland mountains. A unique feature during midsummer is the opportunity to play under the midnight sun. The facility also includes a 9-hole Pay & Play course and a restaurant known for its panoramic terrace.

I played this course twice 10 years ago. 1 time during the day and 1 time at 12 o'clock at night. Unfortunately we couldn't do that anymore because we were much too late in the season.
A very nice course located on a hill. So much looing down and then up again. Long par 5s. Well laid out course with fast greens well guarded by deep bunkers. Nice clubhouse with again friendly staff.
Definitely worth playing if you're in the area. If you have difficulty walking, take a buggy. They run on solar cells.
