Located just a few miles from Aberdeen, Newmachar Golf Club features two distinct 18-hole layouts designed by renowned architect Dave Thomas. The Hawkshill Championship Course (1990) is a challenging heathland test lined with mature silver birch and Scots pine, known for its strategic bunkering and water hazards. In contrast, the Swailend Course (1997) provides a more forgiving parkland experience with wider fairways and subtle contours. Comprehensive practice facilities, including a floodlit driving range with Trackman technology, serve golfers of all levels.

Hawks Hill - just awesome

I have played both courses of this plant on 11 June 2014.
Both courses are hilly, with Swailsend is much wider and with less obstacles. Nevertheless, this place is very beautiful.
Hawks Hill Course is a real gem: A place with many water hazards, much forest left and right of the fairways. Beautifully designed and in great condition.
To start times one should act on time, even on a Wednesday morning, the place was very well attended.
