We are one of the oldest clubs in Hampshire, situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty with a par 69 course totalling 5,536 yards and some of the most scenic holes in Hampshire. The course is part of the Crown Lands of the New Forest and sits just north of the village of Lyndhurst. It is a wonderful place for quiet enjoyment and peaceful relaxation and is a highly protected site. We encourage our members and visitors to respect and enjoy the stunning beauty of the New Forest. The New Forest Golf Club is a great place to be, to play golf as it was intended, to participate in social activities and golf competitions, and to meet the staff and members who have an unrivalled reputation for their welcoming hospitality.

New Forest Golf Club is exactly what you would want from a golf course with this name. Large expanses of beautiful New Forest loveliness with scrub, bogs, trees, donkey's, horses and deer and much more wild life.
The golf course itself is a good challenge but not hard as the SSS suggests. Drivable Par 4's, long par 3's and blind shots into greens give this course all the challenge the average golfer requires. Because it is a national park they cannot seed so club rules come into affect and the greens were a bit varied in quality.

The course is rather short and plays even shorter in the hot summer of 2022, as the balls keep rolling forever on the rock-hard surface.
One can only hope that the course will recover in the cooler and hopefully wetter months.
