Muscat Hills Golf & Country Club was the first of its kind in the region and will be the ‘home of golf ‘in Oman. It was the only course with the Hajar Mountains providing a spectacular backdrop and views similar to those found in Palm Springs ‘mountain’ course in the entire Middle East, and will host EPGA events from 2011 onwards.
Muscat Hills was the first 18 hole championship grass course in the country. The golf course closed in 2020 and reopend in October 2023 as La Via Club.

The course opened under new management on October 26,2023. It presents itself very well and the layout is first class.
Contrary to the description, the place is not hilly. The fairways are often flat or slightly undulating. But what remains in memory are the various steep wadies, which you can overcome without any problems with the good carts.
