Characteristics
Ghala Valley Golf Club is unique in the Middle East. Built into a natural wadi (dried up river bed) it follows its course through a beautiful setting of mountainous backdrops and spectacular sea views.
Originally created as a sand course in 1971, Ghala Valley Golf Club opened the first nine holes of its new grass course in December 2010 and the back nine will be completed in 2012. Although a members club, it is open to the general public subject to prior booking.

You would never believe that a full-fledged 18-hole golf course is hidden here. If you like narrow spaces, you've come to the right place 😂 the course doesn't forgive any mistakes whether left or right and the fairway is often far away. So far, in terms of maintenance/condition, the best course around Muscat. Lush fairways, rock-hard, fast greens and great sand bunkers!! If you're there, the course offers countless opportunities for birdies and pars. The clubhouse only offers snacks but a good drinks menu. The very friendly staff were accommodating on the price... as is the case everywhere here in Muscat, it doesn't hurt to haggle 😎

We paid 52 OMR. But we played a super well-kept and interesting course. Good quality cart and rank balls are included. Clubhouse is nice and you can also get alcohol in the Members Launch. We'd love to come back.
