Situated high in the scenic Southern Uplands of Scotland, Moffat Golf Club offers a distinctive moorland golf experience dating back to 1884. Designed in its current 18-hole form by Ben Sayers in 1904, the course uses the natural contours of the land to create a challenge that relies on precision rather than distance. The layout is defined by deceptive approach shots and subtle greens. Its signature hole is undoubtedly the 9th, known as "Port Arthur," a par 3 demanding a precise shot over a ravine. The elevation provides panoramic views over the town of Moffat and the surrounding hills. The welcoming clubhouse features a lounge overlooking the 18th green and a games room with full-size snooker tables.
