The course is situated only about an hour's drive away from Hamburg in a softly hilly Holstein landscape. Course played on July 24th, 2024. Beautifully laid out with lots of trees.
Interesting layout with some doglegs.
Often wide, sometimes narrow tracks; very varied.
Condition of the fareway and greens: perfect; bunkers with very fine sand.

The golf course has been harmoniously integrated into the slightly hilly terrain. There are a lot of doglegs waiting, which don't always require a very long drive, but rather force you to take strategic shots.
There are a lot of old, mature trees on the edge of the tracks. Water hazards/ponds also come into play from time to time. The first 9 are mostly flat, but on the second 9 it becomes significantly hillier. Very attractive lane layouts and very varied to play.
You can end the round beautifully and safely on the terrace of the clubhouse/restaurant.
We were there for the second time and will definitely come to Aukrug more times for a relaxed round of golf in absolute peace and quiet.
