- do not forget to be there 2 hours before your tee time. You will spend first hour for warming up, and the second hour to stay in crowd for playing. Tee TIMES? A bad joke...
- do not hesitate to rent a buggy : without it, you will not have ANY informations about the hole... no birdie card, no hole description to the beginning, like in the rest of the world (even in ROMANIA !)
- do not expect for cleaning your shoes, or clubs there.
- do not expect for a pitching green. Everybody are using a chipping green for everything. Even for putting. In the same time, I mean...
- do not forget to take an extra pencil. If you will lost it... they won't supply another one.
- do not even think to estimate when you will finish the game, because you won' t be able to know not even you will start it! Take a day off...
- do not take your photo camera with you. Is useless : the course is a urban one, therefore you will see only a few houses and a lot of stones... No views at all.
Of course : you can choose another course, in the neighbourhood. It will be more wise!!!

We put our tees here for the first time in 1991, when golfers had only been using the greens for 3 years. It was our second golf course that we played in Spain. Back then there were only two courses, this one and Real Club de Golf Palmas and we played them alternately. Both were designed by Philip Mackanzie Ross, who learned his trade from none other than Tom Simpson and was able to work during the golden age of golf course building.
In the past we have traveled once every 6 to 8 years, it could be our last visit.
The visit here is primarily due to the Covid pandemic, because all trips planned for the winter have become obsolete. We removed Spain from the list years ago. There are several reasons for this, in particular the maintenance quality of the courses - too much does not fit together. A great deal of effort has been made for a few years to present a well-tended course and - again - to win over golfers. When the courses are well attended again, you forget the effort and the focus is on maximizing sales - this is not the first time we have registered this.
At that time it was a - visually - very nice course, with lots of plants and cacti. As early as 2011 we registered that almost all of these plants and cacti had been cleared. Today it is empty and desolate - a shame, the development towards the simplest possible holiday course!
Care and maintenance... well... as mentioned above...
You could still live with the layout if all the measures described had not been carried out, it is certainly not the best of the designer. This course has been optically distorted in order to chase as many players as possible over the course...
