Great

Played the course for the first time. We were thrilled. Since the club championships were taking place that same weekend, the greens were very fast. The course was in great condition. Some very difficult holes, but all playable. The only bad hole is the 18th. It's basically unplayable, regardless of whether you use a driver or 5-iron off the tee.
The staff was very friendly. The Italian restaurant was very good. We stayed at the hotel. Very good value for money.

A Dream

The course has just been excellently maintained. The entire complex, including all the buildings, is very stylish. The reception is very friendly. I always read reviews here beforehand without being biased. Yes, the signage isn't perfect, but if you follow the cart path, you'll reach the next hole. Contrary to some concerns, you can easily tee off with a driver, which makes things easier even with longer shots.
You could even attack some par 4s with the driver, I should have used the driver on the rather strange 18th hole too, as the fairway only starts 200 m out. Although 3 light irons were enough for the 420 m par 5. The course wasn't dry, the balls stayed put, slopes were no problem. Lots of difficult par 3s built into the landscape with hardly any space around the green. You have to hit them. ;-) The parking spaces directly inside are great. Sometimes I had to run ahead because I didn't know how to play the hole. The one with the small net over the road, for example. I wouldn't want to park there. As always, you're wiser the second time around. The great MB circular path, for example, takes you to the Aueralm. That gives you that holiday feeling again. View of the mountains but not of the lake. Played with a carry bag without any problems and I wasn't the only one.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed. Okay, a swim near Gmund/West and then a visit to the Käfer beer garden with a lake view. A dream day, and as a member of the Munich Circle, half price too ;-)

Lots of potential

The course is scenically very beautiful and has undulating fairways. Some of the tees on the following fairways are right next to the greens or directly opposite, e.g. fairway 1/10. Danger is inevitable here. The fairways and tees were OK, greens and bunkers were top. With the exception of fairway 18, the fairways are often tricky and challenging but fairly laid out. Only fairway 18 is a bit odd. The slopes downstream are not mown and good tees are then hard to find. Straight balls should be able to roll towards the fairway. The service and staff are very friendly.
What we noticed as particularly negative:
Club members tend not to say hello back and some seem to interpret all manners in their favor. This starts in the parking lot.
It's a pity, the club is challenged here.
