Spain golf vacation 3/5. Coming to Costa del Sol to play some good courses. Since we are crazy golfer we had for afternoon booked another course and it was Marbella GCC :D. We tried to move our tee time, but not possible since it was packed. We arrived from Arqueros, had quick lunch and drink, hit the training areas. Checking was OK, what i did not like there in restaurant that there are empty reserved tables for members in shade and free tables for tourists on sun, when we asked if can move there answer was no that we are in Marbella we should be OK with sun. So not very polite if than manager seated group non member is shade. At 3pm we hit the course, and what a nice surprise, very playable course with many interesting and nice shots. Front nine is more hilly back nine is more flat and open. Greens were OK not great but OK as well as fairways, what I see as problem in Costa del Sol is leveling tee boxes they are not in good shape. If I have to choose signature hole I would probably go for few like 2,7, 9 :D. Anyway interesting course wort of play, price was also good compare to quality, will definitely come again. And yes we were able to finish before dark.

Playing golf in spain is always nice, this time we have played twice at Marbella Golf & Country Club the course was in good conditions, the greens were perfect and the staff in the club house were very kind with us. We look forward to play this course next year again it is a course we recommend to everyone who want to enjoy a round of golf!!

The opinions can be so different: On my last round, my fellow players advised against visiting the Marbella Golf & Country Club... luckily I went anyway! A very varied, quite hilly course that always offers spectacular tee-offs and amazing views. The condition was better than expected and the greens in particular were in excellent condition. This decreased a bit on the second 9, but overall we had a lot of fun on this beautiful course. We played with the GITS card and were offered great value for money (75 including buggy). I'd be happy to come back!

Old, impressive place, 9 holes rather narrow and short, 9 lanes much newer. If you have to wait at some significantly higher tees, you can enjoy a great view. Redesigned at least once.

Played on 3/3/2022. The 18-hole course is located just east of Marbella between the AP7 and A7 motorways, which you can see and hear. Lanes 1 to 9 differ from the back nine not only in terms of landscape but also in terms of difficulty. The front nine are steep and narrow due to the topography alone and are therefore challenging. A cart is recommended. Higher HC should at least choose the front tees on the front nine. Having a few extra balls in the bag can't hurt either. You hit from various elevated tees with great views over gorges and ponds to the fairways and greens in the valley. Sometimes you also have blind shots. It is often a rather varied course on the front nine. Water hazards also come into play again and again, even if the streams do not necessarily always carry water. But the back nine are not boring either. Here the tracks are flatter and not quite as spectacular, but still offer enough challenges. This is also ensured by a large number of well-placed bunkers, some with high edges. The condition was on the whole not perfect but okay. One or the other tee was a bit worn, the bunkers were unfortunately not always prepared, although the bunkers were partly refilled with light quartz sand. The greens were perfect, fast and not easy to play, sometimes slightly undulating. Here, as almost everywhere in the region, there is a lot of activity in the high season. When we booked online, we paid €89 per player, including the cart, which was comparatively cheap for the high season.
