Characteristics
Situated on the rugged Northumberland coast, Magdalene Fields Golf Club holds the unique distinction of being the most northerly course in England. Established in 1903 with origins tracing back to Willie Park Jr., this 18-hole layout presents an engaging blend of parkland and traditional links characteristics. The round begins just yards from Berwick’s historic Elizabethan walls before opening up to sweeping panoramas of the North Sea, Holy Island, and Bamburgh Castle. Notable challenges include the 8th, a par-3 played over a rocky cove, and the infamous 16th, nicknamed "The Destroyer," featuring a blind drive near a shelter immortalized by artist L.S. Lowry. A welcoming clubhouse with a restaurant completes the experience.
