Spain golf vacation 2/5. Coming to Costa del Sol to play some good courses. In order to use our Golfhaftet card wisely we choose to play this course and it was great decision. We had one of the first tee times so we had nice view from parking lot and restaurant terrace which is really beautiful. Checking here and booking was very simple and fast. Staff is very helpful, pro-shop is very well equipped. Training areas like in most of Costa del Sol courses are just few steps from clubhouse. Opening hole is nice par 4 downhill, the other holes will open in the valley. Front nine is very challenging and course is not easy to play even if its not too long but fairways are very narrow and green quite small. Back nine were much more exciting for me with more nice views and interesting shots than front nine. Signature hole would be hole number 13, also 14 is very nice. Quality was as I expected, I would only decrease rating for uneven tee boxes and many blind shots. I did not score well but I love it here and would definitely come again and price charged is fair.

This is definitely a beautiful course. Challenging no doubts but worse the effort. Well maintained, fast greens, great scenery with partially spectacular views.
The service from the team was very good and friendly. It was a fun round and we enjoyed a drink afterwards still enjoying the views.

My 6th review in 12 years. The course is currently in excellent condition, although you wouldn't necessarily expect this from the visual impression. But the fairways are easy to play and the greens "bite" really well, so that you can attack the flag wonderfully with high balls. The discounts, however, could be better. On the one hand, it would be great if they were somewhat original. On the other hand, it has a lot of cambered, uneven tee shots.
And yes, the course is particularly suitable for players who have a certain level of precision. Otherwise, Los Arqueros will quickly turn into a ball-swallowing monster.

Played on 3/5/2022. The 18-hole course is located above the AP7 motorway in the hills between Marbella and Estepona. You play a few lanes below the residential complexes built on the slopes or above. The tracks were created as PAR 71 by Seve Ballesteros. The level of difficulty is relatively high, as there are some lanes that are narrowed by real water hazards or canyons. Strategic play is called for and the driver should stay in the pocket here and there, otherwise there is a risk of losing the ball. Higher HC should choose the front tees. There are also blind shots and a good number of bunkers coming into play. The greens are fast and often imperceptibly undulating. Due to the location, there are always elevated tees with great views of the landscape and there are also one or the other sea view. Despite the safety net, you are a bit under fire from the driving range on the first lane. On track 7 there is also the historic Torre and a wild boar trap to see for the first time. The condition was basically okay, even if one or the other fairway had a few bald or brown spots and one or the other tee was a little worn. But the greens were perfect and the bunkers with fine sand were well prepared. Game operations on a sunny Saturday afternoon were manageable. The two of us were able to start playing immediately at 3 p.m. and didn’t run into any flights until 6 p.m. The regular green fee of €99 in the high season is okay compared to other facilities in the region. Lanes are tight, especially 1-9, but fair. Of course there are also slopes at mountain sites, but especially single digits should be able to appreciate that! The peripheral development is very appealing and some have spectacular views of the gorges and the sea.

I played this course for the last time 10 years ago, back then with handicap 23 and remembered it as a ball swallowing machine. Today with HCP 9 I had to give myself that again.
Arqueros is currently rated 4 * on this platform. This means that the visitor would be able to expect something like Valle Romano, Los Naranjos, Santana, Rio Real, Calanova, Aloha and others in this class. It is definitely not the case.
