Technically challenging for golfers of all abilities
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 17, 2013
This course is the poor relation to Red Mountain but more affordable. Golf on Phuket Island is expensive compared to elsewhere in Thailand. Loch Palm is good value for money. The course is well maintained and the greens are relatively fast and in excellent condition. The outward 9 holes are flat and holes 1 - 8 have water hazards. Holes 2 -4 and 6 require shots across water! Holes 10 - 18 are hilly with both jungle and water hazards. Hole 14 - a par 3 over water to an island green is the signature hole. To play the course well requires good course management. The caddies are well trained and are a great source of help to anyone playing here for the first time. My only complaint is the prices charged at the refreshment kiosks around the course which are poorly stocked. The changing room facilities have been refurbished and are excellent.

Between four and five

Because it has four stars so far, we're giving it five stars... maybe because things went well again yesterday... it must have been the course, right? 😉- good caddies - everything was perfect and that's how it should be. Plays well from white.

Beautiful Place
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed February 10, 2024
Played on February 10,2024 The layout in the mountains of Phuket with the many palm trees is fantastic.
However, there are also clear ones. Shortcoming: A number of the tracks had large, unplayable zones (GUR), which greatly reduced the enjoyment of the game.
And the greens: very irregular, lots of grass in places (slow) then “blank” again (very fast) and sometimes very bumpy.
We had to continue playing on hole 6 after 3 holes because there was a traffic jam with 4 flights in front of us. After 16 holes, the missing holes 4 & 5 were made up in order to finally continue on 17 -> it was also very hectic.

Splendid!!! ☀️
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed February 15, 2023
There was always some wind today, which is really pleasant in the heat.
The facility is just beautiful. Very varied and interesting to play with the very good caddies!
Points are deducted for extremely different speeds on the greens. That is not how it works.

Located adjacent to red mountain is loch palm. It was a real pleasure to be able to play here. Alternating with a lot of water obstacles and many bunkers (unfortunately not always maintained) Come back!

Most beautiful place in Phuket

This place was the best of 5 of us played.
An absolute hit, is the driving range on the lake.
Caddies were friendly, but not really competent.

Great place with lots of water hazards. Friendly caddies who know the place and know exactly how to run the Puttlinien.

Playing Loch Palm has really made us have fun. Neat tea boxes, fairways, greens, bunkers and of course overall a great place. Gladly again.

The little brother of the Red Mountain course
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed February 19, 2015
Loch Palm golf course can its big brother Red Mountain does not quite match the water, although it here has many water hazards. The water-based and interesting holes make the course but to a large Spielvergnuegen for good and very good players. Challenging anyway. The caddies here are also very nice, although not as knowledgeable and helpful when playing as the Red Mountain. A cart per player is also mandatory here.

This golf course is definitely one of the better ones on Phuket. He has a lovely, varied layout and in any case is a challenge! We walked him - much to the displeasure of our caddies who have done then known during the round by a little professional attitude: (
He was in good condition, the greens were on the one or other track small weaknesses, but the fun has not done any harm. Only the caddies could not keep up!
