The complex offers a great overall package with a beautiful golf course, a modern secretariat and a gastronomy with tasty offers and a beautiful interior ambience.
Place super well maintained and was apparently rebuilt in recent years. Great and varied fairways with carpeted fairways, beautiful bunkers and fast greens. These are relatively flat and therefore the breaks are difficult to read.
Sometimes water also comes into play in an unpleasant way, so tactical play is required.
Secretariat friendly, gastro with fast service and good food.

The course was in good condition in autumn and despite residual moisture after rain. Very varied and beautiful landscape, interesting holes. Staff friendly and courteous. Clubhouse and inner courtyard with beer garden are beautifully designed and of a noble disposition (preserved building of a non-preserved castle). A great golf course

We played in late May 2020.
The facility is located east of Linz in slightly hilly, forested terrain.
Small plus in advance: on the website you can see flyovers from every hole and thereby get an impression. (this has also increased the anticipation)
The course is designed in an interesting way, even from the tee you have to think about the choice of club. The bunkers are well placed. Water hazards and trees also come into play again and again and provide exciting challenges.
The lanes are therefore varied. Doglegs switch with straight tracks. The lengths of the holes are always different. So I would describe the course as "athletically demanding".
The condition is very good, I can only say positive things. The fairways are good to play, were well maintained. The rough is reasonable, so it's an obstacle without being unfair or "swallowing" the balls.
I do not allow myself to judge the bunkers because it rained a lot before.
The greens are on track, have a medium speed and are slightly undulated. (but not excessive, I couldn't find any double breaks or almost unplayable downhill putts) -> all in all: mediocre difficulty, a solid putter can do a few strokes well on a good day.
The clubhouse is an old square courtyard, which I like very much. The putting green is in the courtyard. We were warmly welcomed both in the secretariat and in the restaurant. The food was very good, value for money perfectly fine. The GC Luftenberg is also a pleasant golf club in terms of atmosphere.
Conclusio: we spent a very nice day of golf here - absolute recommendation
