La Zagaleta is one of the youngest golf courses at the Costa del Sol. In the middle of a nature reserve this course overwhelms with a varied flora and fauna. The fantastic view over the mountains from Benhavis to Gibraltar is however reserved to members and their guests only. Spectacular!

If you're lucky enough to play here.. do it! Stunning views, incredible conditions, challenging courses and maybe the best lunch in any clubhouse in the world. The staff is exemplary!

Crazy design

I can only agree with the prescribers kalle and old golfers and agree with their comments. Such a crazy design and such a grandiose course maintenance is rarely seen.
But then why only 4 stars? For me, the place should also be fair. We played from the rear tee box, with par 70 the course is 5,401 m long. But sometimes it's so narrow in front of you that you don't know which club to take, especially when you have countless gorges to play over. Hitting a good shot should be rewarded, unfortunately that's not always the case on this course.
The care is terrific, the greens are extremely fast, the bunkers were visually beautiful, but some of the sand was very wet.
The production costs must have been enormously high, hence the relatively high green fee of € 217 including buggy.
Service sensational, gastro too, the great design of the clubhouse completes the picture.

Exciting!

We played the course (New Course) in mid-May 2022 and were very impressed. The course is hilly and spreads out over several rocky valleys. Therefore, deep gorges have to be played over again and again and the landing zones are limited accordingly - that makes the whole thing very exciting and interesting! Tees, fairways, greens were in top condition! Another plus: absolute silence! Definitely eat in the restaurant after the round - recommended!
