Great golf experience

This is an excellent course, just outside of Salamanca. A good test of golf with lots of trees to punish wayward drives. The greens are fairly small and undulating, and are protected by excellent bunkering that isn't over the top. Water comes into play on 3 holes. The course was in superb nick in all respects. Greens are receptive and very true. It's a good fair challenge.
The club has very good practice facilities and the club house provides excellent food with great service.
Overall, a great golfing experience. And Salamanca is a stunning city. Well worth three or four days (or more) of anyone's holiday.

The square was designed by Severiano Ballesteros and was then abandoned and forgotten for many years. A new investor was found and gaming has been possible again since September 2021. I played there in September, then Christmas 2021 and Easter 2022. I'm often in Salamanca, there are two other places. However, La Valmuza is something special: fairly short holes, especially the par 5, but narrow and lined with impenetrable holm oaks. Hardly a ball is lost, but the trees, the bunkers and the small greens make the game very exciting. A place for strategists in the typical, slightly hilly landscape.
The course has an intense social life due to its proximity to the city, the restaurant is excellent, the terrace offers a great view of several greens and the practice facilities. The driving range leaves nothing to be desired.
