No longer lives up to its reputation

This once-showpiece and top-notch course unfortunately only lives on its past glory. There's a huge gap between expectations and reality. The price/performance ratio is also beyond fair and reasonable. The prices for green fees and carts don't realistically reflect the value for money. We played there with a group and were greeted with considerable arrogance and condescension. We should be happy to be allowed to play such a great golf course in such a state of maintenance. After all, it's one of the best golf courses in Germany.
Unfortunately, the reality is quite different. A range that can be achieved through disastrous means, even borderline with a cart.
The course: Tees and fairways OK, greens satisfactory with several gaps and holes. The bunkers are very poorly maintained, with many rocks and hardly any real sand. The signage is often confusing and poorly placed. The cart paths are sometimes dangerous and very exposed.
There are a lot of balls from the range on hole 10, making play difficult. Why isn't there a net here to minimize the potential danger?
Only the layout is really convincing.
The food is good and the staff is friendly and service-oriented.

Unfortunately awesome, BUT

Don't be long, be accurate. A Swedish pro once said this to me when he was talking about his course. It also applies to Kosaido. If you stick to this rule, you'll get a good score and have a lot of fun. I really can't remember the last time I played such a great layout. Now for the BUT: firstly, the motorway noise, which was unbearable on the first 9 (due to the wind direction). Secondly, the greens. I've never played with such varied green speeds as here. The first 9 were extremely slow (stimph 3 to 4). The second 9 was unpredictable in places. The burnt and almost shiny 12th was more like a stimph 10. With all due respect, I don't want that for a €99 green fee.

More shine than reality

More show than substance, the golf course unfortunately does not live up to the self-imposed expectations (World of Leading Golf Europe Member, international top-class golf course). Very unkempt, poorly mown "hacker meadow", some paths are dangerous, unkempt driving range, no comparison to the GC Hubbelrath opposite. Arbitrarily calculated green fee (on Saturday sometimes 89.00, sometimes in the same group slightly later 95.00), overpriced for the course, but otherwise friendly office.
Restaurant with a nice atmosphere, very friendly service, plentiful and good food, but payment is only cashless, tips only in cash. Obviously cost-optimized management.
