The Kaiserwinkl Golf Club Kössen presents itself as jewel in the Alps with its 18-hole-course in the middle of dense green meadows, forests and the jagged massif of the Kaiser Mountains. The partly narrow fairways and the well placed greens demand a precise game. The old stock of trees, the prominent features of the landscape and also the water hazards were integrated exactingly.

The welcoming of staff was very friendly indeed. We could start more or less right away. We enjoyed especially the first nine holes so much. Tempting, exciting and not too easy at all. Many blind shots, necessity of straight shots. Although the back nine holes are less exciting compared to the front nine, still there were enough challenges to cope with.
The bar staff was as friendly and professional as the front staff. Nice shop too! Summarised: definitely worth to play 18 holes on this great course.

Experiences at a tournament: very friendly reception in the secretariat and the starter had everything under control.
Unfortunately, several stars deducted because there is no drinking water on site and no toilets.
During a thunderstorm interruption, it turned out that the shelter at the 12 didn't have a lightning rod. I find that very worrying - thank God nothing happened because the interruption came in time and we had the opportunity to take refuge in the clubhouse.
It is also inconvenient that there are no tee boards at the front tees. So in a tournament for women only, you always have to take the detour via the back tees if you want to know where to go. Despite the high number of people, the staff in the clubhouse were very courteous and patient.

If you compare the quality and condition of the facility with other clubs in the Kitzbühel Alps, the green fee is far too expensive. No lanes for carts, so deep tracks on the fairways. No toilets on the way. No fairway irrigation. Lots of weeds on the fairways. The second 9 holes are not very attractive.
