Situated near Morley on the outskirts of Leeds, Howley Hall Golf Club boasts a rich history dating back to 1900. The 18-hole championship course is steeped in tradition, having been shaped by the legendary Dr. Alister MacKenzie following World War I. Regularly hosting the PGA Yorkshire Open, the layout is celebrated for its demanding finish—widely regarded as having four of the best closing holes in the county. The signature par-3 18th, played from an elevated tee back towards the clubhouse, is a true highlight. Off the course, the newly refurbished clubhouse offers modern comforts, including the "Cucina" restaurant and a state-of-the-art Trackman simulator studio, while the ruins of Howley Hall provide a stunning historic backdrop to the game.

Good track, plays well and makes you think

Really solid Yorkshire golf course with some lovely holes.
Some of the long par 4s, all with bunkers in driver range, are a tough ask. We played after some heavy rain and the course had stood up rather well.
No driving range which is a bit annoying.
All of the holes felt different with a lot of varied challenges. You would need to play it a few times before really attacking a good score.
