Characteristics
Located just outside Leeds, Horsforth Golf Club offers a historic golfing experience dating back to 1906. The 18-hole course carries the prestigious architectural DNA of Dr. Alistair Mackenzie, with later refinements by James Braid. Although primarily a parkland layout today, traces of its heathland origins remain, offering a challenging mix of tight, tree-lined fairways and natural contours. Two abandoned reservoirs add unique character to the boundary lines. Notable holes include the strategic 10th, a short par-four with a blind drive, and the testing par-five 18th that sweeps down towards the clubhouse. Modern practice facilities, including a simulator and a driving range, complement the traditional hospitality found in the clubhouse.
